Doing a Scatto tour is a challenge for anybody. Getting ready will take time and commitment. It is very important that you train and get ready for your Scatto tour. We want you to enjoy your Scatto tour and not get back home and think that the trip was an ordeal. At Scatto we want to do everything to be sure the trip runs smoothly but training is the one thing you will have do yourself.
The main thing in your training is to do long rides. During a Scatto Tour you will ride from 9 am to 5pm....for FIVE or more days in row !! Your body needs to be prepared for these efforts. We strongly recommend you do back to back long rides (100 + km) so that your body gets used to riding these distances.
Getting ready for your Scatto Tour will be a good motivator but at times you might need something extra:
sign-up or join a local cycling club that organises group rides
do a Century or Gran Fondo ride
set long and short term goals
record all your rides with services such as Strava
get a trainer to develop a program
