HOw Many staff members are there per guest?

The ratio of staff to guests is 1-to-2. Yes...we take care of you.

Is there a support vehicle during the rides?

Our van will be present during all our rides. It is equipped with drinks, food, energy bars/gels and many spare parts. Our mechanic will be either driving the van itself or riding with us.  All guests also have the possibility of leaving a bag in the van with any extras he/she might need during the day.

DO I need to bring water bottles??

No. We will supply you with new water bottles.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY TRIP

If you need to cancel 91 days or more prior to the start of the trip we will reimburse you and only charge you a small processing fee. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the trip you will forfeit the full amount you have paid. For more info please see our Terms and Conditions

CAN I RENT A BIKE?

We can supply rental bikes. Please contact us and we will set you up|

WHAT GEARS should I  have?

We strongly suggest you have at least a 34 x 27 gearing or higher. We want you to enjoy the rides and not have to grind your way to the next hotel.

what sort of payments do we accept?

We accept credit cards, bank transfer and even PayPal.

WHEN IS THE BALANCE DUE?

Balance is due 91 days prior to the trip. We will send you an email to remind you.

SPECIFIC trip info

We will be contacting you a couple of weeks before the trip with specific info such as last minute plans and where and when we will meet for our Trip Briefing. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us!!

HOW FIT DO I HAVE TO BE?

Our trips are challenging but are open to everybody but you do have to come prepared. Please see our specific page on How to Train?

Will you leave me behind if I am a slower rider?

NO! We have plenty of guides to accommodate various riding speeds. Typically, our rides will break up into smaller groups with a guide keeping an eye on each group. Our best advice is to train ahead of time to fully enjoy the experience of riding in Italy.

ARE special diets accommodated?

When you book your trip we specifically ask if you have any dietary requirements and we will accomodate them.

Is wine included!

Wine is included with all meals (max half a bottle per person).

We ask that you take care of flight arrangements but please do not hesitate to contact us for suggestions.

What attire should I bring on the trip

We will be staying in some very nice hotels but casual wear is fully acceptable. I would suggest bringing a couple of polo shirts and maybe a collared shirt.

How many cycling kits should i bring?

Since we provide a daily cycling kit laundry service you technically only need to bring two kits (one you will be riding while the other will be washed). We suggest bringing a third kit,  just in case.

gratuities for the staff

Tips for the Scatto Staff  is greatly appreciated and totally at the discretion of the client. The staff pools and divides all tips among themselves. The business standard is every client contributing 4-8% of the trips's cost.
