Unfortunately our group had to cancel our custom trip due to COVID but Scatto was great in refunding us in full! Furthermore Charlie was of great assistance on a solo trip I did in Italy a couple of years ago.

My first Italian bike trip, exceptionally well organized and executed.  "Celebrity" pro bike riders a surprisingly big asset : I truly felt special and blessed to have the experience of riding along with them ( as well as the great riders in my group).  Liked the "linear route" - that is, I wanted to see the country but also a sense of really making a journey to a destination ( Roma!).  Hotels and food - fantastic!  Liked the simplicity of having most everything included:  did not have to choose where to eat, how much to spend on meals - this is mentally very refreshing.  Charlie and Dave, Massimo and "Pego" - all wonderful people and I am so happy to have gotten to know all of you.   I am personally have great interest in the history and architecture and art of Italy - and the daily rides were long and tough and so the trip was not particularly rich with stops to learn - that is - not a pleasant guide to tell us about the sights and tour villas along the way /  an exception was the lunch at the Verrazano castle where we had a little tour and I really enjoy things like that.  IF - the trip was another day - then perhaps a little more culture.  In my case - son Ted and I visited Florence the day before with museums and so on - so I think Scatto should do what it does well which is BIKING and each individual can experience the culture of Italy on their own terms and time before and after the ride.  Charlie:  (yes I know I was the guy in the back with the least pedal power) - I would absolutely love to do the Dolomite trip in future, and I will follow you to keep informed.  Thanks so much for putting this together and this trip with my son was a trip of a lifetime!
